Lot Essay

This little potiche appears to be carved rather than moulded. The naturalistic leaf design is unusual in this type of cut glass. For a similar piece see Museum für Islamische Kunst, Berlin, Islamische Kunst, Verborgene Schätze, Berlin, 1986, p. 69, cat. no. 76.
