The rectangular case surmounted by a figure of seated Diana, her feet resting on a tree stump and her elbow on a stirrup cup, with hunting horn in one hand, (the right hand restored), flanked by her seated hound and bow and quiver, the rectangular base with relief cast mount to the front depicting a wild boar, with palmette sprays to each side, above anthemion cast gallery and on milled toupie feet, the white enamel Roman dial signed Berthoud à Paris with black-painted moon hands, the twin barrel movement with silk suspension and rack and snail strike on two bells via two hammers
