MID 17TH CENTURY, INDISTINCTLY DATED, PROBABLY FOR 1657, PROBABLY SOUTHWARK, TRIAL BRUSHSTROKES IN BLUE TO THE UNDERSIDE
Of bulbous form with a short cylindrical neck, with a loop handle, painted in blue and ochre with the arms of the Worshipful Company of Bakers flanked by a foliage cartouche and initialled twice M/AR and dated 165(7), reserved against the rhyme :DRINK·VP:YOVRRI/NKE & SEE:MY:CONNY: between thin lines, the interior with a crouching rabbit on a grassy mound (minor restoration to rim)
