AN ENGLISH FLINTLOCK PISTOL COMBINED WITH A RIDING WHIP
Early 19th Century
WIth iron barrel almost entirely encased in leather, the muzzle fitted with swivel ring carrying a later whip of plaited cord, with pan and external mechanism carried on a narrow iron frame fitted into the breech, conventional trigger and bowed iron trigger-guard, moulded leather-covered grip with lanyard ring, and retaining an original green silk tassel.
