AN ENGLISH SILVER-HILTED SMALL-SWORD
London silver hallmarks, circa 1750
With colichemard blade of hollow triangular section retaining traces of etched decoration on each side of the forte, the hilt with double-shell and finely pierced and chased with trophies of arms and rococo decoration, the original grip bound with silver ribbon and twisted silver wire, in vellum-covered scabbard (old repair) with chased silver mouth-locket and chape, and two carrying-rings, the mouth-locket with pricked signature '....
