AN ENGLISH SLIPWARE MODEL OF A CRADLE
CIRCA 1700, PROBABLY STAFFORDSHIRE
Of conventional form, the rectangular body supported on curved rockers, the pitched hood with knopped pegs to each corner, the footplate with a triangular upper part, trailed with cream-coloured slip on a dark brown ground, the hood inscribed with the initials ID (replacement section to end of cradle, areas of restoration)
