AN ETRUSCAN BRONZE MIRROR
Circa 3rd-2nd Century B.C.
Disk-shaped with concave flange flaring out at the bottom, the obverse with a dentate edge, the reverse engraved with the so-called "Sacred Conversation" between four figures, with Castor and Pollux on the sides, each wearing a short belted chiton, boots and a Phrygian cap, the center with a draped Menrva (Athena) wearing a crested helmet, and a nude Apulu (Apollo) crowned with a radiating diadem, the border with a garland of spikey leaves tied on four sides with a circlet, traces of an inscription along the rim
