An exceptionally fine contemporary early 19th-Century model of a Maudslay table engine,
with gun metal cylinder 1¼in. bore x 3¼in. stroke, centrally mounted valve chest with truncated 'D' valve and separately cast steamway, shaped crosshead with Maudslay guides and columns, twin throw faceted crankshaft, lift-off eccentric rod and finely detailed architectural base and spoked flywheel, finished in contemporary eggshell black and lacquered brightwork, with contemporary glazed mahogany showcase -- 22 x 15¼in. (56 x 38.4cm.)
