An exhibition standard small scale brass and steel model of a Four Pillar Table Engine built by A.M. Tyrer with cylinder 3/8in. bore x 5/8in. stroke, barrelled connecting rods, the steel crosshead fitted with hardened steel rollers running in brass guides, pierced eccentric and lift-off weigh-shaft lever, main stop valve, the entablature supported on four fluted doric columns, gibbed and cottered big end with bronze bearing, the crankshaft with waisted crank running in bronze bearings, belt and gear driven Watt type govenor and flywheel with fluted spokes, finished in black and polished brightwork and mounted on a slate plinth -- 5 x 3in.
