Decorated in gold hiramaki-e and kinji on a roironuri ground, with a bust portrait of Herman Boerhaave, the reverse with the inscription 'Professeur en Medecine a Leyde de l'Academie Roy. des Sciences, et de la Societe Royale de Londres Morta Leyde le 24 7bre 1738 age de 70 ans Paris chez Odieuvre, m d'Esampes quai de l'Ecole vis a vis la Samarita belle Image', slight wear
