AN IMPERIAL INSCRIBED CARVED TWO-COLOUR LACQUER BRUSHPOT
CARVED QIANLONG YUZHI MARK AND OF THE PERIOD

The cylindrical brushpot is finely carved in relief around the exterior in standard script text, kaishu, against a carved black lacquer diaper ground above a circular base similarly decorated forming the four ruyi-shaped feet, the interior and base with black lacquer (chip to base)
