With applied paper prints of birds and a woven panel, further applied with a paper inscription FROM the Residence of Nana Sahib, Nawab of Awadh, at Bithur, Cawnpore. Taken by The 92nd Highland Regiment, after the Awful Massacre at his command 16th July 1857. THEN acquired by Lieutenant Alexander Bowes Mein at COWNPORE on January 3rd 1875 when The 22nd Regiment of Foot Marched from Hazareebaugh to Shahjehanpoor along the Ganges Trunk Road: 528 MILES, sold with two paper documents relating to Captain A.B.Mein
