Meiji-Taisho period (early 20th century), signed Senmen maki-e Teijosai and with cursive monogram (kao)
The top and sides of the box decorated with overlapping fans of various flowers and grasses worked in gold, silver and colored lacquer hiramaki-e and takamaki-e and inlaid mother-of-pearl and lead, signature on side
9 5/8 x 7½ x 5¾in. (24.4 x 19.1 x 14.6cm.)
