An ivory netsuke of a bearded man
19th Century
carved with the recumbent figure leaning on a cushion, wearing robes and hat -- 1 7/8in. (4.8cm.) wide; an ivory netsuke of a karashishi seated on a platform beside a tree stump and a double gourd with a loose-ring, the base with incised sealmarks -- 1½in. (3.8cm.) wide; another ivory netsuke of a woman seated reading an open scroll beside a cooking pot within walls, with three oni behind, two peering over the wall -- 1 3/8in. (3.5cm.) wide; and an ivory okimono of a fruitseller, standing with one foot raised on a tree stump holding a peach in one hand and a sack in the other -- 3 5/8in. (9.2cm.) high, (minor restoration to last two).
