with a shaped top-rail and solid vase splat, solid seat and cabriole legs with pointed pad feet and joined by stretchers, with handwritten inscription beneath the seat Mr Cotton Near Shrewsbury, Shropshire...; and another similar solid seat chair with deep shaped friezes and cabriole legs with C-scroll type knee and pad feet
