AN ORMOLU-MOUNTED AMARANTH AND BURR-ELM GUERIDON
Possibly German, mid-19th Century
The square canted top with pierced gallery, with central French jasperware plaque of classical youths, the frieze mounted with paterae and fitted with a leather-lined slide, on turned ormolu uprights headed with winged putto caryatids and with foliate-cast toupie feet, joined by an undertier inlaid centrally with a rosette, the underside of the top with paper label inscribed in ink 'III a 2023'
