The vase of inverted pear-shape, applied with trailing flowering vine and painted with scattered deutsche Blumen, its pierced cover surmounted by a flower-finial and decorated en suite, a spotted hound standing at its base on rockwork applied with similar flowers and eyeing three partridge at the left, raised on a pierced gilt-bronze rocaille-scroll base, a French customs seal tied to the base with string
