AN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND COPPER-RED-DECORATED PALE BLUE VASE
QIANLONG FOUR-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
The ovoid body is decorated in underglaze blue on one side with bamboo growing amidst rocks and copper-red lingzhi, and on the reverse with a butterfly in flight below a further lingzhi sprig on the neck between the two scroll handles, all against a pale blue glaze that also covers the base. The foot is covered with a dark brown dressing.
