The silk damask finely woven with a complex geometric floral pattern, with an inner black and silver ribbon border, and an unusual chain stitch border of geometric diaper pattern, the ivory satin outer border and the matching 'cloud' collar embroidered in fine satin stitch with cartouches of figures and flowers surrounded by floral diaper pattern in gold-wrapped thread, the ivory satin sleeve bands similarly bordered and worked in a very high quality raised Peking knot with a design of insect and squirrel roundels
