AN UNUSUAL JADE AND ENAMEL INSET GILT-BRONZE PAGODA
18TH CENTURY

Of hexagonal section, with spinach-green jade plaques incised with either pine, prunus or bamboo below a thirteen-tiered tower inset with white jade and painted glass plaques, below an enamelled double-gourd supporting a crescent moon, the base with lotus lappet and key-fret borders infilled with turquoise and lapis coloured paste (losses infilled and replaced, tip of finial missing)
