Lot Essay

We are grateful to Laura Muti and Daniele de Sarno Prignano for the attribution of the landscape to Antonio Francesco Peruzzini, given on the basis of photographs. Ms. Muti dates the work to the second decade of the 18th Century and notes that the figures are painted by an unidentified hand working in Peruzzini's workshop.
