Lot Essay

The first lines of text on folio 1. gives the author's name as the time-keeper (muwaqqit) of the Umayyad Mosque, in Damascus. In his brief introduction, the author states that he is commenting on al-Marrakushi's (d. 1321) 67th chapter on the subject.
