THE PROPERTY OF A GENTLEMAN
Lots 9-44 are from a 19th Century album inscribed on the flyleaf '140 Drawings Collected together by M. Kerr some very valuable' and 'Letitia Louisa Kerr left to her by her Father'. Vice-Admiral Lord Mark Kerr (1776-1840) married Charlotte, Countess of Antrim in her own right: the album descended to the present owner through their grand-daughter Lady Helen McDonnell, who married Sir Malcolm MacGregor, 4th Bt. of MacGregor. Drawings from the same source were sold at Christie's, London, 12 April 1983, lots 1-8 and 16 April 1991, lots 1-10 and 93-107
