oil on panel, the reverse branded with the 'FDB' (in ligature) panel-maker's mark of François de Bont (active 1637-1643)
10 3/8 x 7 5/8 in. (26.4 x 19.5 cm.)
with two unidentified armorial red wax seals and the old label 'No: 99. P.P. Rubens. 7½ . 10 L[...]' (on the reverse, upper centre)
