BECKFORD, Peter. Thoughts Upon Hunting, Salisbury: E. Easton, 1784. 4°, half title, engraved frontispiece, one engraved plate and one plan at end (some mainly marginal spotting), contemporary tree calf, red morocco lettering-piece (rebacked, corners rubbed, upper joints split at foot). Third edition.
With 2 volumes containing 17 coloured lithographed plates of Italian costume and trade by Gaetano Dura, ca. 1840, 4° (310 x 242mm. and 240 x 210mm.), (some spotting, upper margins of 2 plates torn), bound in contemporary half calf (extremities rubbed), 4 other books and 12 folding maps including William Darton's A Little Book of Maps, to be referred to when my Father or Mother talks with me about Geography (London, 1821-22, parts II, IV and VI only).
One of the Italian plates is illustrated above.
