Lot Essay

Benito Rebolledo Correa was profoundly influenced by Spanish artists such as Fernando Álvarez de Sotomayor and Joaquín Sorolla. In its luminosity, Impressionist brushwork and subject matter, the present work is particularly close to the Valencian beach scenes of the latter.
