Mierdman for John Day and William Seres, 17 August 1549]. 5 parts in one volume, 2° (295 x 185mm). 4 divisional titles within different woodcut borders (2 defective), 50 woodcut illustrations in the text, 2 large (lacks all before D4, 23 leaves, and the last 2 leaves, lower fore-corner of the first 2 leaves repaired with slight loss, 2 small holes in last leaf with slight loss, top margin of same leaf repaired, one or two short tears, mostly in the margins, occasional light discolouration and staining) but for the most part a sound copy in 20th-century calf. A revision of the 'Matthew' version, first printed in 1537, by Edmund Becke. STC 2077; DMH 74.
