Contemporary olive green calf, the covers elaborately decorated and panelled in gilt with central coat-of-arms of Charles I, flat spine gilt, gilt edges (rubbed, joints splitting, spine rather worn). Provenance: Norbury Booths Hall 1826 (armorial bookplate). An early note pasted onto the front pastedown states "supposed to be the prayer book of Charles the first at the battle of Rowton moor."
