CHINE, DYNASTIE QING, EPOQUE QIANLONG (1736-1795)
The bowl is finely carved in relief with two taotie masks enclosed by two bands of lappets encircling the rims. The shoulder is flanked by a pair of mythical animal mask handles, and the domed cover is carved with a sinuous dragon holding a flaming pearl. The stone is of an even pale tone with slight russet and cloudy inclusions.
