BREVIARY, use of Sarum. Portiforium seu breviarium ad usum insignis ecclesie Sarum, castigatum, correctum, supplementum [Pars Hiemalis]. [Paris: J. Ferrebouc for J. Bienayse], 10 January 1510.
Three parts in one volume, 8° (155 x 107mm). Collation: A-R8 S4 +8 a-g8 AA-EE8 FF4. Title partly printed in red, small woodcut of the Crucifixion on 07r, double column partly printed in red. (2 lines partially erased on O7r, tear in lower margin of DD2 touches two lines, a few other minor marginal tears, some leaves slightly soiled.) Contemporary ?Flemish blind-stamped calf, spine in compartments (rather worn, lacks clasps). Provenance: early manuscript receipt 'for the spotty pock' and other ailments on o4v; inscription on title 'Woollavington - This Volume (with another) was found immured in the Old Vicarage House, when it was taken down in 1805'; S.L. Jacob (signature on title).
One part of the very rare Breviary for the use of Salisbury, of which STC 15809 records the Pars Aestivalis only in the British Library, and a fragment in the Bodleian Library at Oxford. Not in Bohatta or Alès.
