PRESENTATION COPY, INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR on the title: "À l'Institute royal de Hollande, de la part de l'Auteur." The first comprehensive description of the celebrated "Librairie de Bourgogne," whose origins go back to medieval times, but owes its fame to two Dukes of Burgundy of the Valois line, Philip the Good (1419-1467), and his son Charles the Bold (1433-1477) who commissioned splendid illuminated manuscripts.
