A Roman courtyard seen from a loggia decorated with antique helmets on composite columns and a sarcophagus

The same sarcophagus with a bacchic relief is found on a drawing by Percier of similar subject sold at Christie's, London, 2 July 1991, lot 165. That relief was in the courtyard of the Palazzo Mattei, Rome.
