Keatinge Clay, 10 Downing Street, 7 October 1952, thanking the recipient for sending him a document relating to the 1st Duke of Marlborough, 'I am returning it to you, as it has been in your family for so many years', one page, 4to (punch hole to upper left corner); [with] ANNE (1665-1714), Queen of Great Britain and Ireland. Document signed ('Anne R.), n.p., [17 December 1706], expressing her approval of the honours accorded to the Duke of Marlborough, 'My Intention is That after the Determination of the Estate which the Duke of Marlborough now has in his Titles and Honours, the same should be limited to his Eldest Daughter and the Heirs Male of her Body ... in such a manner as may most effectually answer my Design and yours in perpetuating the Memory of his Merit', 2 pages, folio, on a bifolium (much affected by damp); and one other document,
