CHURCHILL, Winston S. Typescript signed and inscribed ("Winston S. Churchill"), "To the Electors of Dundee," 26 July 1917. 5 oblong sheets mounted on two cards (each card 13 x 6in.).

CHURCHILL INFORMS HIS CONSTITUENTS OF HIS NEW POST IN LLOYD GEORGE'S WAR CABINET, as Minister of Munitions. He celebrates the political unity of the nation. "Liberals have voted for Conscription, Unionists have labored for an Irish Settlement, Trade Unionism has laid upon the altar of public duty its deeply valued customs and privileges..." Britain, he promises, will be "the prop and mainstay of the cause of freedom until the great Republic of our kith and kin across the Atlantic can bring its mighty and decisive force to bear."
