We are grateful to Professor Riccardo Lattuada for suggesting an attribution to Andrea Vaccaro (Naples 1604-1670). He believes it to be a late work by the artist, possibly with the collaboration of his son, Nicola, and notes that similar examples are cited by A.E. Perez-Sanchez and G. Vito. Professor Lattuada will include the picture in his forthcoming book on Guarino, as by Vaccaro.
