A 3-inch (7.6cm.) diameter terrestrial "thread-globe", made up of two wooden hemispheres laid with two sets of six chromolithographed paper gores, the equatorial ungraduated, the ecliptic graduated in days of the houses of the Zodiac with sigils, the continents delicately shaded in yellow and green and showing towns, cities, rivers and the Great Wall of China, the Congo labelled NIGRITIA, Alaska shown as American, ivorine ring piece at North Pole (areas of discolouration, crack from North Pole to equator, second crack across North America), the interior of the northern hemisphere with the remains of the trade label for Clark & Co., on simple ebonised baluster turned plinth base -- 4.1/8in. (10.5cm.) high
