Inserted at the end: An meine Lieben und Getreuen in dem Bunde, printed address to the Jakob Krause-Bund [by Paul Kersten], [Berlin:] 18 March 1925, gothic type, limited edition of 100 copies (NO. III OF 3 COPIES ON JAPAN PAPER), inscribed by the author to Freiherr von Simolin.

BOUND BY PAUL KERSTEN FOR BARON SIMOLIN, Berlin c. 1925: gold-tooled deep-blue crushed morocco, decorated to an art-deco pattern of criss-crossing fillets and small solid squares, oval inlay of tobacco-colored leather in center of the front cover, multiple fillets and solid squares on turn-ins, signed by the binder inside back cover, top edges gilt. Provenance: Rudolf, Freiherr von Simolin (presentation inscription).

NO. D OF 6 COPIES ON JAPAN PAPER, signed by the author and the binder. Collin's monograph was published on the occasion of Kersten's sixtieth birthday. Paul Kersten is considered to be the most original German bookbinder of his generation.
