Contemporary red morocco gilt, gilt edges (lightly rubbed and stained). Provenance: unidentified crowned armorial frontispiece with motto “Tout Bien ou Rien”. INSCRIBED BY CYRIL CONNOLLY on the front free endpaper, “Peter [Quennell] from Cyril – Feb. 28th 1948”, with, beneath, a 6-line quotation from Propertius in Connolly’s hand. With 10 other books of related association including Virgil’s Bucolica, Georgica, et Aeneis (Paris, [1798], contemporary morocco, A GIFT FROM EZRA POUND TO CYRIL CONNOLLY ON THE OCCASION OF CONNOLLY’S BIRTHDAY, inscribed by Connolly, “E. P. d.d. C. C. in die natali … [2-line poetic quotation in Latin] … Venice”, and further inscribed by Anthony Hobson), Propertius. With an English Translation by H. E.
