A three-part legal document between David Bowie and Chrysalis Music Publishing, 23rd October, 1970 comprising:
- a two-page mimeographed typescript agreement setting out the terms for a limited liability company between the two parties, signed on the second page in blue ballpoint pen by David Bowie and his manager Tony DeFries and in black felt pen by Robert Grace for Chrysalis Music Publishing Company Ltd. and by a witness;
- a five-page mimeographed typescript agreement regarding the rights of the Writer - David Bowie and the Publisher - Chrysalis Music Publishing Co. similarly signed on the fifth page;
- a three-page mimeographed typescript agreement regarding publishing rights of The New Company, similarly signed on the third page;
- a photocopy of a one-page Rider to the agreement bearing Bowie's facsimile signature;
- and a copy of The Companies Act, 1948, 4pp.

The contract with Chrysalis Music Publishing was very important for David Bowie at this time, and marked the beginning of one of the most prolific and successful phases of his career.
