Lot Essay

David Cox Junior not only inherited his father’s name but also entered the same profession. His work shows many of the characteristics of his father’s style, but, the younger Cox seems to have been scrupulous about signing his work ‘Jun.’ in order to distinguish his work. Cox Junior exhibited annually at the various London institutions including the Royal Academy.
