Lot Essay

This well known panorama viewed from the banks of the Seine has been painted by numerous 19th Century watercolourists including: Richard Parkes Bonington, Thomas Shotter Boys and David Cox Senior. Here we look east along the right bank to the Pavillon de Flore in the Tuileries and across towards the Ile de la Cité and to the Institut de France on the left bank.
