Lot Essay

This domestic scene holds a number of 17th and 18th century objects. A 'Westerwald Sternkanne', typically 17th century, can be seen on the table. On the mantle piece stands a late 17th/early 18th century Kangxi vase. Light can be supplied by means of the 17th century style brass six light chandelier. A typical 19th century element is the Dutch walnut fauteuil in neo-renaissance style.
