Lot Essay

A student of Gérôme and Dagnan-Bouveret, Enjolras created a series of fine landscapes, the most notable of which can be found in the museums of Puy and Calvet d'Avignon. However, his oils and pastels exhibited at the Salon from 1890's depicting young ladies by soft lamplight are those the artist is best known for.
