Engraved title vignettes and plates, facsimile wrappers from the original parts. Original vari-coloured cloth, spines with black morocco lettering-pieces gilt, top edges gilt, others uncut. The original steel plate by H. K. Browne ("Phiz"), set into a uniform cloth box with a signed letter of authenticity, is titled "The internal economy of Dotheboy's Hall" (from Nicholas Nickleby). Also included is Francis Maynell's pamphlet A Note ... on the Format of the Nonesuch Dickens (London, 1937, wrappers). (25)
