DIONYSIUS, Carthusianus. In quatuor euangelistas enarrationes, Cologne: Peter Quentel, January 1543. 2° (315 x 196mm). Title within a woodcut historiated border composed of 10 blocks, rubricated throughout, woodcut initials. Contemporary German blindstamped calf over wooden boards with clasps, spine painted green (slightly worn). Provenance: Augustinian Monastery at Rebdorff (ownership inscription, 1558, on an endpaper). [Bound with] Enarrationes in librum Iob, Tobiae, Iudith..., Cologne: J. Quentel, tametsi inter excudendum defuncti, 1551. (A little worming at the end affects text slightly). 2 works in one volume, 2° (310 x 202mm). Both volumes rubricated throughout, woodcut of Samson on titles and, on the verso, a woodcut of the saint presenting his book to the Virgin Mary (very lightly browned throughout).
