DOYLE DEFENDS THE HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES

In an article published by Literary World, 15 February 1907, B. Fletcher Robinson hinted that he suggested the plot of the Hound of the Baskervilles to Doyle, and helped write the story. Doyle, in this letter, defends his authorship: "I think the facts are stated in the preface. I wrote every word of the book. We talked over some points of the plot. The original idea of a haunted family came from him."
