Ruhlmann designed this bookcase for the Cité Universitaire, Paris, circa 1932.

A variant of this model is recorded under the number 2428aNR (Nouveau Référencier) in the Ruhlmann archives at the Musée des Années Trente, Boulogne-Billancourt.
