51.5 x 26.5 cm. (20 ¼ x 10 ½ in.)
Inscribed, with two seals of the artist
Dated autumn, gengchen year (1760)
Inscriptions on the inner wooden box by Kano Naoki (1868-1947), with two seals, dated July 1939

NOTE:
Kano Naoki (1868-1947) went to China in 1900 and studied Chinese Philosophy for three years. He was a member of the Chinese Cultural Bureau in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan from 1923 to 1938, and the pioneer of Kano School of China Studies.
