A collection of material associated with Errol Flynn's career between circa 1954-1955 including: six signed black and white publicity photographs of Flynn - four of subject on horseback in full armour, two of Flynn wearing a dinner jacket and holding a glass, each signed in blue or white ink, each -- 10x8in. (25.4x20.3cm.) and several similar unsigned shots; a typescript memo from Flynn to J.B.Mahon giving his terms for working on the film Escape From Elba, annotated at the head in Flynn's hand This is my final deal, Barry 1p. associated file correspondence and a copy of the script; various other scripts and treatments include: King's Rhapsody (3), The Three Casanovas and Deep Waters; also a script for an unfinished production William Tell and a quantity of file correspondence associated with this troubled production including two typescript letters, signed, from Herbert Wilcox, one addressed in his hand My dear Errol discussing various commitments and balances owed, the other to J.B.Mahon discussing various awkward financial negotiations; and a number of letters addressed to Flynn or Mahon at various dates in 1954, the majority concerning various film contracts and proposing film roles, a couple demanding monies owed, one threatening to sue, another from Gleneagles Hotel requesting settlement for ..The bill..for...the masseur...; and related material (a lot)
