Titles with woodcut border showing the King in council at head, and Grafton's device supported by two cherubs below [McKerrow & Ferguson 67], criblé and historiated initials, woodcut compartment at end of volume II. (First title with upper margin renewed affecting woodcut border and text on verso, ink stain on V1v, repaired tear crossing text on A1, small hole on cc4 catching a few letters, some shoulder notes cropped, some soiling.) 19th-century mottled calf, spine gilt (worn). Provenance: Walter Thomas Wallace (bookplate).

Enlarged edition of a work first printed in 1516. Various sources were worked into Fabyan's Concordance of Chronicles, a compilation extending from the arrival of Brutus in England to the death of Richard III. Fabyan was sheriff of London in 1493, and the Chronicles, which are brought up to the end of Queen Mary's reign in this edition, are of particular importance in regard to the history of London.
